Riding the Roller

I picked up a roller the other day from Craigslist. It was a new Nashbar for $60. It took me a few times to get used to it. Those things are pretty sketchy at first. I rode if for 17 minutes yesterday while watching a movie. It will be pretty sweet during the 115 degree summer months. THE FLU

I got the flu over 2 weeks ago and still have a "non productive post infectious cough". I haven't ridden my single speed or been to the bmx track to ride my new custom made Gunslinger Cruiser. Being sick sucks. Anyway this summer I plan on designing some backpacks and a custom pack for my travels to Greece and Rome.

Single Speed Day???

I should be getting my King wheels in today! Yesterday was a perfect day to ride and I had to wait on the sidelines. But today is another day and I'll be rolling Kings. I'll post some pics as soon as they go on. Meanwhile here is a random image.

I just got my Gunslinger Custom Cruiser in today!!! It took awhile but it was worth the wait. The frame is beautiful and custom built for me. Adjustable dropouts to change the head angle so you can change how quick it steers. This frame is trick. Check out the Pictures on Flickr.

Here is the bag installed in the ultimate wagon. Velcro tabs hold it in place. We were thinking of putting some ribs in the panels to give it some form when not filled.

Well, here is the finished bag! It's midnight and I'm done. As you can see the velcro tabs on either side of the nylon handle. These tabs will hold up the bag while in the wagon. On my label I put "bag designed by Slend Threadworks" Just like the old days. This isn't really a billet deal.

Here is the start of the Ultimate Wagons bag. I'll keep you updated on progress. It should be done tomorrow. The material reminds me of the old school DG motocross bags. Same color and the material is similar.

Here is a set of bags that I made while at NAU in Flagstaff Az back in 1992. The logo was screened directly onto the nylon. I had problems with the nylon melting and losing shape. This is where it all began. I was a Graphic arts student and broke. I sold many of my bags to all the outdoor stores located around campus.

Right now I'm testing this whole Flickr thing. Here is the head tube to my Chumba EVO. This bike is built right!! I think it's perfect for taking up ski lifts and floating down the trails. I've never done the resort thing but this summer I'm planning on heading to Sunrise ski resort. During this blog I'm going to skip from current projects to the history of how Billet came to be.
